It is with deep regret that we have to report the sudden death of Adrian Kerridge, a Vice President of Marlow Regatta. Our sympathy goes to his wife and family.
Adrian was a long term worker and supporter of the Regatta. For many years he prepared all the paperwork for crew registration, and oversaw the running of the registration team on the day. When, very recently, this became too much for him, he happily sponsored an event at the Regatta. He will also be remembered for what became a “traditional” part of the Regatta’s Annual General Meetings; the “grilling”of successive Hon Treasurers, which was always very correct and kept all those officers on their toes.
Adrian was also a long term member of Marlow Rowing Club and you can find further details regarding his funeral on their website.
Please note that for those planning to attend, Marlow Suspension Bridge is closed to traffic, but open for pedestrians.
Many thanks to all clubs, crews and coaches for entering the 2016 regatta and to the small army of volunteers who worked with the competitors and behind the scenes. Racing ran to schedule and we even had the start umpire setting races off early, helped by the still conditions. We sincerely hope you enjoyed your day at the regatta either racing, coaching or volunteering.
If you do have any feedback on how your day went, please do get in touch. We would love to hear from you and to get your ideas on how to move the regatta forward.
