2011 #MarlowRegatta full results from Mikrotime

Congratulations to all the winners at both Saturday and Sunday of this year's Marlow Regatta. Full results with split times from Mikrotime will be available from here.

Competitor car park passes for the 2011 #MarlowRegatta

All passes for competitors, 3 for each eight, 2 for each quad/four and 1 per pair/double/single, will be e-mailed out to the club's BROE contact shortly. If you haven't received yours by Thursday evening please contact the Hon Secretary.

Injury to R. Chambers rules GBR Lwt 4- out of 2011 #MarlowRegatta

Marlow Regatta was today informed by David Tanner that, regretably, the GBR Lwt 4- will not be able to race at the 2011 Marlow Regatta do to an injury to stroke R. Chambers. The crew had already brought in 1 substitute and now needs to re-group and recover in time for the World Cup regatta in Lucerne in July.

2011 #MarlowRegatta draws are now available

The draw for the 2011 Marlow Regatta for Saturday and Sunday available. Saturday will see racing from 08:30 till 18:30, whil racing on Sunday will be from 09:00 till 15:20.

MARLOW REGATTA  - THIS WEEKEND

This weekend Dorney Lake will play host to the 156th Marlow Regatta and the 11th  to be held at Dorney Lake, the venue for the canoeing and rowing events at next year’s 2012 Olympic Games.

Confirmed entries at this years’ regatta have been received from the United States, Norway, Ireland and from across the United Kingdom. Some of these entries, will undoubtedly be hoping that Marlow may provide them with the opportunity to pre- qualify for Henley Royal Regatta. The regatta are also delighted to welcome the GB Men’s Lightweight  Four who, following the GB rowing team’s decision not to attend the world cup in Hamburg, due to the e-coli outbreak, will be competing in our Open Fours event on Saturday.

The action on the water sets to be as exciting as always and the Regatta Committee have, for the first time, incorporated events for Masters and increased the number of events available for women.

Marlow Regatta this year incorporates Father’s day on Sunday 19th June and as well as ensuring Dad has a category to race in, there is lots of Family fun on offer for all those who come along to support! Cadbury’s Spots and Stripes, the official treats provider for the London 2012 Olympics will have a games arena for young and old alike. Marlow Town Band will be providing the soundtrack to Saturday’s racing. 

Marlow Regatta Radio (87.7fm) and Marlowfm (97.5 fm) will be broadcasting throughout the day, providing race commentary and interviews to the citizens of Marlow and worldwide via the internet.
