Marlow Regatta
Spectators

How to enjoy your visit

Marlow Regatta is held at Dorney Lake, now famous as the venue for the 2012 Olympic Rowing. All the races are over the full Olympic distance of 2,000m. Being just before Henley Royal Regatta, we attract most of the top crews from Clubs, Schools and Universities in the UK, plus some from abroad. In the past, we have seen crews from Australia, USA, and even China, as well as from the Continent. Races are programmed every five minutes, so there is always a race coming down the course. The usual range of refreshments are available from either mobile units alongside the course, or from the very comfortable Lake View room above the Boathouse, which gives splendid views of all the activity on the boating rafts, as well as a view right down the course.

Please read the following, but if you have further questions please e-mail secretary@themarlowregatta.com or phone 01628 525977.

Spectators enjoying the 2010 Marlow Regatta

There are three ways that you can experience the Regatta as a spectator: -

1. Just come along and watch

Admission to the course is by car, for which a charge of £10 is made, regardless of how many occupants; we like to encourage the "green" practice of car-sharing! The Car Park is alongside the Lake, where a well surfaced path allows you to walk the whole length, from Start to Finish, with a race passing you every five minutes.

2. Become a Subscriber – get the best views - plus other benefits.

If you want to be certain of a prime car parking space and a really good view of the racing, then this is possible, by becoming a Subscriber to the Regatta. Subscribers can pre-purchase reserved Car Park spaces (ideal for picnics). As an alternative to bringing your own food then Subscribers may pre-order picnic hampers (for two) which will be delivered to the Subscribers Tent. We do ask Subscribers and their guests to maintain a reasonable dress standard. Click here for further details.

3. Book a Club Marquee

If you are coming as a group of Club supporters, then it is possible to book a spot for you to erect your own small marquee. This can then act as a focal point for all the Club’s supporters, alumni and competitors to gather, and generate some real Club Spirit!
